There is something for everyone in the Las Colinas area and in Orihuela Costa in general. Whether you're looking for a lazy beach holiday, an active holiday, or exploring the local nature, history or gastronomy. The area's exceptionally salubrious climate and abundance of entertainment create the ideal conditions for outdoor activities, relaxation and a healthy lifestyle.
BEACHES: The local coastline is famous for its beautiful beaches with fine sand and clear waters. Playa de Campoamor (15 minutes from the apartment) is one of closest, Playa de Mil Palmeras, Cala de la Mosca, Playa de Cabo Roig, Cala Capitán, Playa de La Zenia, Playa Flamenca etc.
STREET MARKETS: At the many traditional street markets a few kilometres from the apartment you can buy countless fresh fruit and vegetables, olives, hams and sweets, traditional Spanish products, souvenirs, etc.
WALKING, RUNNING: A 16-kilometre promenade winds along the coast, connecting Playa Flamenca and Campoamor beaches, with breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Ideal for relaxing walks and runs.
WATER SPORTS: swimming, windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, diving
CYCLING AND HIKING: ideal place for cycling and hiking trips, many marked routes. Bicycles can be rented and ridden along the coastal promenade or pedaled in the surrounding hills and natural parks.
MÍČOVÉ SPORTS: tennis, paddle, beach volleyball, football, basketball, mini golf. There are sports grounds on the beaches, in parks and many sports clubs.
HORSE RIDING: riding schools offer horseback riding.
FISHING: it is possible to rent a boat and go out to sea to fish.

The beach club, part of the Las Colinas Golf & Country Club resort, is located right on La Glea beach in Dehesa de Campoamor, one of the most beautiful beaches in Orihuela Costa. The club offers a modern luxury atmosphere with a so-called infinity pool, restaurant and bar. Of course there are changing rooms, showers and private parking in the shade of Mediterranean pine trees.
From nearby Torrevieja to Benidorm, Alicante has some great waterparks. On hot summer days, visitors of all ages cool off and have fun on adrenaline-pumping waterslides, in relaxing pools, in calm rivers and even on the beach with sea waves.
There are several parks in the province of Alicante that are worth a visit. At Terra Natura, you can meet a variety of animals from all over the world, and on hot summer days you can refresh yourself at the local water park. The Río Safari Elx is a zoo with many animals that you can take a train ride through. At Safari Aitana you can observe the animals directly from the car in their natural habitat. Family Park is an amusement park with rides and carnival games. And at El Mundo de los Niños, it's especially the kids who will have a blast on the playground and climbing frames.
